A Harrison Funny

At dinner last night, Harrison said: "Mom, when you throw water on your friends, do they melt?" Ummm...someone has been watching too much Wizard of Oz ;)

Blessings

There is a family I follow who's son is very ill. http://www.mycharmingkids.net/
As I read about their daily trials I'm amazed at their strength and unwavering faith. As I pray for baby Stellan on this morning I'm deeply reminded just how very blessed I am to have two beautiful, healthy, smiling, loving wonderful children. All my troubles and worries just seem to drift away as I remember that. Maybe I should remember that more often. Prayers for Stellan for a complete whole healthy heart that only God can provide.

Some Updated Pictures of the Kids

Hello All....well life has gotten officially crazy, so wanted to post some updated pictures of the kids. Harrison has started soccer and Avery is just busy growing up. I'm going to try to do a better job of updating as I can, but we just seem to be juggling so much these days it's all I can do to stay on schedule. Enjoy the pics and will post again soon...

Busy Life...time just gets away

While I had literally a few minutes to write, I thought I'd jot down a few things. It seems life just keeps moving faster and faster for us at Casa Greene! I had hoped that once the job started to stablize I might have more time for catching up on blogging, loading pictures, etc, but so far thats not working as planned! By the end of the day everyone is just so tired there seems little time for anything but the bare essentials!
Since I last wrote, lets see....we had our first adult party in 3+ years to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Harrison has turned into the "leg bruise monster" and Avery has a 1 year molar but only two bottom teeth and one top tooth. The poor child looks like a snaggle tooth when she smiles :) Harrison is fully potty trained during the day - we havent had an accident in over a month or so I guess. We havent moved to underwear at night yet mainly because he ends up in our bed and I dont really care to put on rubber sheets! We need to cross that bridge soon, but for now everyone is sleeping and we arent very motivated to change that.
Thats really about it I guess right now. Work is good for both of us, but we're so busy as I mentioned. Hopeful the economy will begin to get better soon so the oppressive feelings of worrying for your career will lessen. All in all...I really cant complain much! Until next time....

Reminded to Share Your Love Abundantly

I received news on Wednesday that a man I graduated from high school with, and who I considered to be a good friend, passed away. This is one of those big "why" moments. Why at 39 years old, with his first child on the way in mere weeks, and when he so close to finishing his PhD program...why? Are we supposed to know why? I'm sure the clinical why's will come out when the coroner announces the details, but its so hard to understand.
It just serves as a very harsh reminder how fragile life really is and how, at any moment, important people could just be taken away from us. At ANY moment! It brings out deep feelings of mortality, guilt, sadness....lots of things I didn't expect and feelings that are so much stronger now that I'm a parent. I think of his mother...no one should have to bury a child! I think of his sister....I would die too if I had to bury my sister! I think of the mother of his un-born son who will raise this little boy alone and be responsible for sharing what a wonderful person he was. She won't be alone though really - he was loved by so many and I believe everyone will remind that little boy throughout his life.
The outpouring of love I'm watching from our classmates and friends is amazing. I'm hopeful when my time comes that my family will find that I touched lives in similar ways that my friend did. Maybe this will change me in some small way? Maybe I will strive to do more things for others and make a difference? I hope so....I hope that 100's of people will come to my funeral and care enough to be there. I hope....
Rest in Peace Dirk Magwitz - you were a beautiful person and taken too soon. You will be missed greatly by so many. It's comforting to know your Faith is strong and that we all know just where you are right now :) Peace and comfort to your family during this time.

Back to Work!

I started my new job this week and so far, so good! I am finding that I'm completely exhausted by the time I get home though, so that's been an adjustment. I think its more mentally tired than anything. So much to learn - new names - new organization....all with the combined pressure to perform and meet deadlines, etc. All part of the business world that I'm very used to though. I'm sure it will become easier as the weeks go on.
Harrison and Avery are doing well...both growing up too fast though! Miss A finally had her top teeth begin to break through - she's working on 4 right now. Its going to be odd seeing how her smile changes now that it's not totally "gummy" anymore. She's a super expressive little girl with lots of "language" already. Her favorite phrase right now is "No! No!" which is typically aimed at Maggie. I guess she hears us saying that to her when she barks at people outside. Harrison's vocabulary grows by leaps and bounds every day. I've noticed his sentence structures maturing alot and his ability to use tense correctly. His legs stay a bruised mess most of the time these days from jumping, falling, and generally being fearless. The best news is that except for nighttime, he's completely potty trained!
Have to run for now, but more updates and pictures soon!

Fireproof

Over the weekend I decided to pick up a copy of Fireproof. I have heard so many great things about this movie, so I took a chance a decided it was time that we actually watched something other than an animated movie on the DVD! We tried for Friday night, but Harrison was very late getting in bed, so Saturday night it was. It was about 11pm before we finally put it in the player, so I'm thinking we might get through part of it and watch the rest on Sunday. What an AMAZING movie! I cried 4 or 5 times and actually boo-hoo'd at the end. I think this should be required watching for everyone. I won't spoil it for anyone reading who hasn't seen it, but do yourself a favor and at least look up the story on-line and pick this one up. A funny side note: (Harrison woke up around midnight and came down to sleep on the couch while we were watching) This is a very "deep" movie....at one of deepest parts of it, we were completely quiet and listening intently. Out of the darkness and quiet comes Harrison's sleepy little voice...."I just LOVE firetrucks". HA! Go get the movie...its fantastic!

It's Official - C.B. Greene and Associates, Inc.!

After four very long months of job searching (and soul searching) I am now officially President/CEO/Secretary/Managing Director/Janitor of C.B.Greene and Associates, Inc.! I begin my first contract on Monday, April 6th as Director, Process and Improvement for Travelport, Inc. It's a UK based company so I'll be doing some occasional travel and hope that it will turn into a permenant role in October. It's all very scary and exciting at the same time.
I can't say enough about how much I appreciate the love and support of my family and friends during the last four months. I've been through so many different emotions during this time that I'm not really sure how anyone has been able to put up with me.
So, for the next week I'll be busy trying to get my office re-organized, doing some projects around the house that need attention and getting used to waking up super early again so I can fight traffic on I-75 every morning. You won't hear me complaining about it though (at least for a while - ha!)...I'm just so grateful to be employed again during a time I know so many are not. Just in the last week I know of 5 people who've lost their jobs and its very sad.
Thanks again for all the love and support...I'll keep everyone updated about things and now need to get back to talking about the kids more! Have a great weekend!

The Original Nest Babies - 3 years later

It's so hard to believe, but we (me, Kim and Kiersten) have been re-creating this same picture now for 3 years! The three us met on the Knot when we were planning our weddings, then moved on to the Nest together when we were all pregnant and due at the same time. So, our three kiddos were born within a month of each other. (Wow, that was alot of "three's" in one paragraph!)
This picture was taken and Emma and Elliott's joint birthday party last weekend. It's becoming more of a challenge to get them all in the same spot for more than a second or two, but one worth doing. They are all so cute and have such great personalities. I think I speak for all of us when I say I hope we're still begging them to sit for this same picture many, many years from now!
I present for your viewing pleasure....Emma, Harrison and Elliott! THREE YEARS LATER!

New pics coming!

As you can see, I made some changes today to the header of the blog. I thought it was time since Avery was only a couple of months old in the first header. So a big THANK YOU to my great friend and awesome photographer Jody Williams for this new image :) (wwww.jodylynnphoto.com) I'm holding a a sick baby girl on my lap right now, and she's starting to get tired of sitting here, so I'll have to add more pictures later! Until then....

And now I wait.....

My three big interviews are completed and as the title of this post says....and now I wait. Its been 5 years since I've done any job searching and frankly, its been longer than that since I really "searched" per se. I've always been lucky that I have a great network of colleagues and recruiters, so the jobs really have always come to me. Also, the interview process seems to take soooooo long these days. Literally you can expect at least a month once you get that first phone screen - assuming you even make it to the end. Granted, the jobs I'm looking at are at a high enough level that they do need to be picky and its a buyers market these days. I'd like to think I'm a pretty patient person when it comes to the big things, but my patience is being stretched pretty thin these days. Its officially been 3 months since I was laid off and its really really hard - not just financially of course, but emotionally.
All three of the jobs I've interviewed for are ones I would enjoy and would challenge me, so my fingers are crossed that I get to move to the next stage. It will be at least a week before I hear and possibly up to three weeks. As the song says...."the waiting is the hardest part." Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts....keep them coming!

Preparing for Interviews!

Finally, finally, finally.....I am getting some momentum going with this job search. I'm going to be purposefully vague in an effort to not jinx myself, but I have three interviews coming up between Friday and Tuesday! Tomorrow's is a 2nd interview over the phone to decide if they want to fly me out to meet the team and interview face-to-face. Monday is with a fast food restaurant group and Tuesday is with a global travel provider. Each of these opportunites has its own sets of pros and cons, but all are interesting. I'm in the process now of doing lots of "studying" to get myself back in the supply chain mindset. Its kind of like riding a bike though - it all comes back. Please be thinking of me over the next several days - our family could really use some good luck with this job search!

Updating with some pictures

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had alot of time for updating my blog, but I wanted to take a few minutes and post some pictures from both of the kids birthday parties!
Avery had a cupcake theme for her 1st birthday complete with a "birthday tree" and Harrison had his coveted Fireman theme. My sister, Courtney, helped so much with Harrison's cake...I'm so grateful.

Happy 3rd Birthday Harrison!!!!

Dear Harrison,
Three years ago right this very moment, Mommy and Daddy were at Kennestone Hospital in disbelief that you were about to enter the world! You were 3 weeks earlier than planned, but mommy was happy to have you join us early as long as you were healthy! And healthy you were!! :) 8 pounds and 7 ounces of healthy with beautiful red hair :)
Now you are a strong, smart and silly little 3 year old running around and changing every day. You amaze us with your problem solving ability and your vocabulary (sometimes the vocabulary leaves a little to be desired) ha! One day when you're old enough we'll tell you about your lovely phrase you enjoy muttering under your breath!
We have a fun birthday party planned for you this weekend - complete with a firetruck cake! We know you can't wait because you talk about it all the time. We love you so much sweet Harrison and wish you very happy birthday!
Love,
Mom, Dad and Sissy

A Different Sort of Post

I usually try to make my posts about the kids, but today's is going to be a little different. It's more directed at the kids I guess because I plan to convert this blog one day over to something they can keep and look at as they get older.
I don't mean to sound melodramatic when I say this, but on December 4, 2008 our lives changed alot. As many of you know I was laid off from my job of 5 years with Ariba. I really loved Ariba...loved the people I worked with...and believed in what the company was doing. I've only had one other job in my life that I felt that way about, but it was my choice to leave then. This is completely different. Maybe there is a lesson to be learned from this - I still havent gotten to the point that I'm seeing it though. The job market is beyond tough. Jobs that, in the past, I would have been a top candidate for have hundreds of people competing for. Its been a few weeks now and still no forward traction. I won't lie and say I'm not scared - and I have three other people to worry about this time. But the real reason I'm writing this for the kids to let them know what a wonderful father they have. Harrison and Avery....I couldnt have made a better choice than picking your daddy for you. I am keenly aware of my strengths and weaknesses - one of my personality traits falls into both categories - strong emotions. When I love...I love to the 1000th degree, when I'm scared its the same exponent. But your daddy...he's always stable and always has perspective when I need it most. Right now is one of those times - bottom line...he's keeping me sane. He reminds me every single day that we're going to make it through this and that we have everything we need underneath the roof of our home - the four of us (and Maggie too!). Harrison....as you tell me every night at dinner....we're FAMIWEE....I dont think you really understand just how powerful that statement from a 2 year old really is. Thank you to my FAMIWEE for being just that :) We will get through this and be better for it! I love you, Mom

Christmas Eve Field Report

What a fun day it's been! Nonnie and Grandaddy came over today to help with the kids until Colin could get home from work. After naptime it was time to make cookies for Santa! This was Harrison's first big Christmas Eve since last year was spent shuttling to and from the hospital to see his new baby sister. He had the best time helping cutout the cookies and decorating them with sprinkles. After dinner he and I sat down together to talk about how Santa was going to come down the chimney with gifts and that he might be hungry; so we picked out some cookies for his special plate. The wrinkle was he decided Santa did NOT want milk with his cookies - it had to be GINGERALE! So gingerale it is this year :) LOL!! Last but not least he felt it was important to leave a band-aid for Santa in case he scraped his knee on the way down...he's just too funny. I'm waiting for him to fall asleep right now so we can get everything ready for Santa's big arrival! Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

Happy 1st Birthday Avery Elizabeth!!!

Sweet Baby Girl....
Words cannot express just how much your daddy and I love you! We wished for you, hoped for you, prayed for you and one year ago today God gave you to us :) Your life started off very scary for us, but you were strong and blessed and here you are today a beautiful, funny, wonderful little girl who's walking and blabbering and bringing so much joy to our lives. Your big brother loves you so much too...just watching the two of you together - you were meant to be brother and sister! The smiles you bring to each others faces...it melts our hearts.
My wish for you is that you will always be just who you are - never deviate from that. Chase your dreams and make things happen! There's a big wonderful world out there ready for you to conquer and we can't wait to see what you do!!
We love you Avery Elizabeth...so so much! Happy Birthday Sweetheart!!!
Love, Mommy..Daddy..and Harrison!!

We Have a Walker! (and other stuff)

So many things going on and so little time to write about it!! We do have a walker - even before her first birthday!!! She's so proud toddling all over the place chasing after her big brother :) She also has two teeth, but that's it - so different from Harrison who had a whole mouthful by now. Miss Avery, will be one year old tomorrow!! She's "talking" up a storm, into every cabinet, crevice and nook in the house. So much fun!
Harrison is doing really well at being big brother and just everything in general. His speech has gone crazy - 4 syllable words even! He wants to know what everything is and generally just goes 90 mph at all times. Knocking on all kinds of wood....his asthma appears to be going away! We hoped this would be the case, but we've only had to do one breathing treatment in the last 9ish months. Guess we'll see how the spring goes, but he's off all of his meds :)
Life sometimes throws you tough times - unfortunately I lost my job a couple of weeks ago. It really hit me out of the blue and at such a terrible time. I had been with Ariba for 5 years and really loved it there, so painful to say the least. But I've had a couple of weeks to deal with the loss and I'm ready to move on to bigger and better things! I'm in the full throes of my job search so if anyone out there needs a rockstar employee ;) I'm your girl!
Thats all for now....will post again soon with some pictures! Love from Colin, Brandi, Harrison and Avery :)

Laughter Really Is the Best Medicine!

video
video

Let's Begin with Halloween!

This was really the first year we've done much with Halloween. The last two years we were struggling so much with H's sleep issues we didnt want to risk getting him off schedule and honestly I dont think he would have gotten much out of Trick or Treat. Well this year was a whole different story. We always participate in the school functions at daycare, so the parade was so much fun and the kids have little parties in their rooms. Harrison was a fireman this year and Avery was a ballerina. I have to give myself props for making her tutu!! :) Here are a couple of pictures from school and a video heading out to trick-or-treat later.....

I've been so delinquent! Some updates.....

I must apologize to friends and family at how behind I am with updates. I'm trying to catch up on Shutterfly uploads too! Ugh! It seems like all aspects of life are so busy right now, but I know everyone is feeling the same thing. I have a lot of stuff queued up to post on here, so wish me luck! Looks like the last update was Avery's 10 month milestone, so I need to cover our annual Pumpkin Patch trip - Halloween; which was so much fun - a visit with Mimi and Papaw - upcoming photo sessions - Santa and Pink Pig visits - Avery's birthday plans - Harrison's first "potty mouth" experience - and some super cute videos I've captured lately. One thing at a time!

Happy 10 Months Avery!

I know I say this every time another month rolls around, but 10 months already??? It seems like yesterday I was bringing Avery home from the hospital. She had been so sick and I was militant about hand washing and trying to keep her well. Today she's crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything! She was even standing up in her crib laughing this morning when I went to get her dressed for school. Its so hard to believe I'm working on planning her 1st birthday party in a couple of months. I remember thinking when she was born that there was no way in the world she would keep her sweet disposition and her "easy" nature, but each day that goes by she just stays the same sweet little girl. She and Harrison have such a special relationship already - he's just so gentle with her. Always making sure she has a toy she loves, feeding her puffs or just making her laugh. I just feel really blessed :) Lots of love to both of my monkeys and happy 10 months to my baby girl! :)

We have a crawler!!!!

My sweet baby girl has been working so hard the past few weeks, but just didnt seem like she was getting it. She got so frustrated and would just give up. But over the weekend she finally figured out how to move her knees in sync with her hands and took off! Its not the most graceful thing I've ever seen, but it works :) She can also already balance enough to lift a hand up and wave. Ugh...so cute! I can't believe my baby can crawl before she even has teeth!!

My Meme - Thanks Melissa!

I just got tagged by my friend Melissa to do a Meme - six things about me that people may not know. I have to admit that I'm a pretty open book, so this one will be hard for me! Also, I normally write about my kids, so I guess this may be fun for them to read one day as they peruse their milestones...LOL!

Here we go:

1. In my early grade school years, I attended a private school run by the university - Southeast Missouri State. For whatever reason, the school felt I was "gifted" (whatever that means), so I spent a whole two weeks in the 2nd grade before they moved me to 3rd grade. That makes me the youngest person in my class of '87 at Cape Central High School. Up until just this year, that fact always made me uncomfortable - being the last to drive, etc. But THIS year, it makes me the one NOT turning 40! So....all in all...yay me :)

2. I was born and lived in the small town of Cape Girardeau, Missouri until I was 26 years old. I miss it some days and wish my kids could grow up in the slower pace and the safety I did. I love Atlanta, but there is something comforting about knowing the street names of every street in the town you live and never needing a map to go somewhere you've not been.

3. I used to own a Harley (and yes I know how to ride one)

4. I own and know how to use a gun

5. Many of my friends call me "Handi Brandi" b/c I'm really not afraid to try home improvement projects. I've dabbled in just about every area at one time or another. I think this was born out of need when I found myself living alone in a great big house. I remember one particular day when I was outside putting up new lights by the front door. A nice man drove by several times slowly - I began to feel weird about it, so I turned around so he'd know I saw him. He stops and says "do you need some help" in kind of a condescending way. I said "do I look like I need help?" ;) LOL! Yes, I know that you need to turn off the electricity, no I won't shock myself, and yes the lights worked perfectly! Have toolbelt...will travel :)

6. Last, but certainly not least - I haven't seen my natural hair color since I was in the 7th grade. Before I got my parents blessing (and financial backing) I used to lean over the sink and pour straight hydrogen peroxide on my hair! Looking at those pictures makes me laugh...lovely shade of orange gone wrong....or as someone recently described it - excessive school spirit perhaps ;)

That's all I can think of for now!

Catching up from last week.....

It's been a very hectic couple of weeks actually! Avery has been diagnosed with a skin condition called "Nummular Eczema." We're still learning about it and have a follow up appointment with her new dermatologist in a few weeks. Essentially she started out with a small patch of regular looking eczema on her cheek that turned into an infection that wasn't responding to any meds at all. It wound up spreading over 75% of her face and spots on her body as well. The pictures are just too sad to post, so I'm not going to. In the meantime though, the new cream and medication we've been giving her has improved her 100% over the weekend, so we're very relieved! Harrison is doing well - the most notable things for him are his speech improvements. He is talking 90 miles an hour and asking soooo many questions. Why why why....what's that....he even thinks its funny to call me by my first name. I try not laugh but its really quite funny.
Here are a couple of recent pictures of H and A....more to come soon!

A Love Letter To My Daughter....

Dear Avery...
You and your brother are such blessings in my life. I love you both more than I ever imagined I could love another person. I know you both love me too, but I have a question....why oh why must mommy lose her hair post delivery? And why oh why must it look so goofy when it grows back?
Love,
Mom :)

Mommy's New Camera!

Yay...I got my VERY early birthday present late last week and finally got a chance to play with it a little over the weekend. I have lots to learn and have only played with a few of the modes and nothing manual yet, but wow what a difference it already makes! I'm going to get used to it for a month and then take some classes in October. Here's some early results.....

Avery "Trying" To Crawl

Avery is so funny...and so different from her big brother. As I've posted about she has little to no interest in rolling - she knows how, just chooses not to. However, she went to sitting up with no problems at all. Now, she's trying out learning to crawl, but doing an even better job at pulling herself to standing. So weird, but I guess what they say is true that every child does things their own way. I captured a few funny shots over the weekend of this "trying to crawl" thing.

Stealing From A Friend.....

That headline got your attention, huh? Not what you think though. As you can see its been a bit longer than normal since I have written on the blog. The reason for this is because I'm having problems with my laptop and can't upload pictures right now. So I found this cute idea on a friends blog and decided to do it for myself. (Thanks Kep :)!!)

Listening to … the hum of my laptop fan and Psychedelic Furs on the speakers

Thankful for … so much ... family and salvation and too many other things to list. (stolen word for word - but couldnt have said it better myself)

In the kitchen … empty sink for once - except for the bottles needing to be washed...jotting that down on the to-do list now!

Sewing … is something I wish I could do. I can sew on a button, though, if I need to. (Again stolen...but something that's on my list! Its seems right now all the "gadgets" I want are all expensive and my new camera is arriving today so that will have to tide me over for a while!)

Reading … I am actually reading a book right now - sort of forced to because its needed for an upcoming work meeting. Its called "Rules for Renegades" by Christine Comaford-Lynch. I'm only a little bit in, but so far I really like it! I'll update later as I have more feedback.

In the yard/garden … Oh how I miss having the time to work in the yard. I used to spend at least 10 hours every single weekend out there planting, maintaining, enjoying. Now I just pay someone to mow and keep it status quo until I can get back to it. Thank goodness for flowers that come back every year in the Georgia Zone 6! I did cut off some tree branches last week though - does that count? Beuller? Bueller? ;)

Praying for … good health for my family, lots of good fortune and happiness for people close to me who so greatly deserve it, and lots of other things!

On the iPod today … a mix of up-beat inspiring stuff!

Thinking about … my doctors appointment today, working toward that 5K I've promised myself, continuing eating healthy, drinking lots of water, and an upcoming trip home.

Looking forward to … hopefully seeing my mom and dad this weekend! Getting back in touch with my sister.

Hoping … that Avery's eczema will go away as promised and that she'll be feeling better soon. That Harrison has a great day at school and will come home all smiles!

I like this...I think I'll do again sometime :) Have a great day everyone!!

Harrison Has Such a Sweet Soul

Anyone that knows Harrison is aware of his strong personality, but in addition he has the sweetest most sensitive soul! Today when Avery was taking a nap, he thought her dolls needed one too. So he put them in her swing side-by-side and turned on swinging motion and music for them. He was so proud and what a good big brother!!

Awwww...My Big Girl Avery

She's been playing around with a sippy cup for a few weeks now, but she full-on drank from it tonite! Oh, and she eats puffs now too!!
The time is going by too fast....

What A Weekend!

This has been a crazy weekend at Casa Greene! The major development has been the removal of all pacifiers from all nooks and crannies, hiding places, familiar places and all places in general. It hasnt been easy, but cold turkey was the only way to go. Harrison had his last moment with the "forbidden object" before school last Friday and he hasnt touched it since! That said - its not been an easy transition. He asks for it constantly, but its getting easier with each naptime and nighttime. As of this writing he's had two full nights without it!! The big test will be tomorrow at school when he sees other kids with them. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
The other big development is our progress with potty training! H has been doing REALLY well all weekend. I wouldnt say we are "there" yet, but the progress has been good.
Avery is finishing her second full week of being sick :( Her congestion was so bad last night it woke her up, so I guess its time to head back to the doctor. Anyone want to place bets on our 7th ear infection? Oh and Miss A turned 8 MONTHS OLD yesterday!!! Growing up too fast.....
Thats all for now....new pictures coming soon!

Lots of Kid Updates!

Wow....the last couple of weeks have been busy! I took my first business trip in well over a year, work has been hectic and the kids have been busy busy busy! Hopefully I wont have a big blog lag like that again anytime soon.
So what have we been up to.....both kids are doing really well right now despite Avery's constant congestion it seems. She is really getting quite a personality and is just so happy all the time. Her physical therapy for torticollis is going really well and we expect to be finished very shortly. Same thing with her helmet - her next scan is coming up in a few days and we hope to potentially be finished with it! Harrison is feeling well and learning new things every day! His language skills are increasing by leaps and bounds and we've even found a few new words he's picked up that we're wishing he hadnt ;) We've been told if you ignore, it will most likely go away...we can only hope.
Here are a few moments I've captured over the last couple of weeks I thought were worthy of sharing:

Harrison Showing His Respect for Michael Phelps at the Olympics - no we did not teach him this...he picked it up from the TV. He does it every time he sees him now. Funny!!

Miss Avery will be 8 months old tomorrow!! I dont know if its because she's such a laid back child or if its like this with all second children, but the weeks just fly by with her. She's such a sweetheart!

Harrison received what is supposed to be his Halloween costume this week. I am thinking this thing will be getting more wear than the typical costume. He won't take it off without a fight and slept with his helmet last night! LOL!!

And last but not least just a really sweet picture of Avery. She'll probably never wear this dress again, so at least I have a few shots of her in it! She, by the way, is going to be a ballerina for Halloween - I have all her pieces ordered and cant wait to get them. I made her tutu myself - never would have seen me doing that in a million years! Have a great weekend!!

I've Been A Slacker!

I just realized its been a week since I've posted :( Things have just been so busy lately I havent had much time to get pictures organized and put up. I did get some cute ones this weekend though that I'll try to post tomorrow if I can. I am leaving on Tuesday for a business trip, so if it doesnt happen then, it will be next weekend probably.
Not a whole lot new going on at Casa Greene - status quo can be good sometimes! Will try to post soon.....
