Yesterday was Avery's 6 month check up with her pedi Dr. McGee. She got a good report weighing in at 16 lbs. 9 ounces and 27 inches tall (long?). This puts her right in the mid range for babies her age, so that's good. It's funny how different the kids are though - at 6 months old Harrison was already 20 pounds! But he's been almost off the charts his entire life. It was also shot day :( She is such a drama queen about shots - just like her mommy! The nurses were all laughing at her reaction - first comes the pouty lip, then the giant tears...all a good 30 seconds before she makes any sort of noise. The wailing then lasted a good 10 minutes followed by another 20 minutes of the "I'm choking" sound from the back seat. Since it took me approximately 30 years or so to be ok with needles, I'm sure we're in for the long haul with Avery as well - as mom always said "paybacks are ..." :)
